In excess of 150 people attended the Wacky Walshes Fun Day at Wild Walshes Play Area on 25th July 2012.
Visitors were refreshed with free cold drinks and fruit on one of the hottest days of the year so far!
All ages had fun taking part in the circus skills workshop organised by King of Hearts Creative Outreach, Half Crown Wood Children's Centre provided activities for under 5's. Wyre Forest Community Housing’s Neighbourhood Warden Team supported the event and offered advice and information on the Neighbourhood Warden Service and Worcestershire Health Trainers were on hand to provide Free Health MOT's for adults and were able to offer support for those wanting to make changes to their lifestyles, whether it be stopping smoking or losing weight.
Wyre Forest District Council Sports Department also provided free sports activities for young people.
On behalf of Walshes Community Partnership and Vestia Community Trust we would like to thank all the organisations who arranged activities, local residents who volunteered their time to set up the event and for the local community who took part.
