A Cleaner, Safer & Greener Walshes
The Walshes are currently working towards a Cleaner, Safer, Greener Kitemark Award. The award is part of a Keep Britain Tidy campaign and its main aims are to bring long term improvements to the area. The Cleaner Safer Greener project allows housing providers to work towards providing better quality neighbourhoods. The project brings together Wyre Forest Community Housing tenants, residents of the neighbourhood and partner agencies, such as Wyre Forest District Council and West Mercia Police, in order to identify areas of concern and develop long term solutions for them. This involves understanding the rights, responsibilities and expectations between residents, landlords, District Council and other service providers for creating a safe, clean and green neighbourhood.
The project is being managed by Wyre Forest Community Housing and led by a Cleaner, Safer, Greener Partner Group which consists of representatives from local service providers who meet monthly. This group also feeds into the Walshes Resident Support Group.
The Broadwaters Resident Action Group (BRAG) in Kidderminster have recently been awarded the Kitemark for their work, again this was managed by Wyre Forest Community Housing and we hope to learn from their experiences as we work to gain our award within the next 12 months.
You can help us by reporting any of the issues below when you see them. Organisations can't put things right if they don't know there is a problem.
