The Areley Kings Got Talent Competition was a tremendous success and was supported by local organisations, including Areley Kings Village Hall, Vestia Community Trust (part of The Community Housing Group), Walshes Community Partnership, St. Bartholomew’s Primary School and the local Londis store.
The competition was for 7 to 11 year olds who live in Areley Kings, and attracted 22 acts who sang, danced or played an instrument.
The performers appeared in front of a packed house of parents and friends who were greatly vocal in their support. The performers gave the four experienced judges a real challenge in choosing just ten performers for the finals.
During the interval, the audience was treated to a performance by the Vocalettes Choir.
The chosen top ten performers went on to perform in front of another packed, enthusiastic audience on 12th October 2012.
The winners were:
First – Holly Brown, winning The Jim Perry Cup and £30
Second – Hannah Law, winning £20
Third – Mackenzie Lauren Mapp, winning £10
11 year old Alex Mills won the Graham Baldwin Cup for the best opposite gender to the winner.
Ella Kendrick won The Hazel Yates Cup for Best 7 Year Old.
